Introduction Calista is a Greek word that means “the most beautiful.” With 16 home-bred champion Pembroke Welsh Corgis since 1997; our goal is to produce the most beautiful Corgis we can, while ensuring our dogs have the best health and temperament possible. Our dogs are great people companions and test well for herding instinct. Each and every dog and puppy is hand-raised in our home. They live within our family structure from day one and are canine and human socialized. Our Ruby Caralon’s Ruby Tuesday, our first Pembroke Welsh Corgi, is the foundation of our bloodline. She is the daughter of Am/CA Ch. Horoko Caralon Dickens ROMX, the top-producing sire of champion Pembroke Welsh Corgis to date. We began with showing German Shepherd Dogs over 22 years ago. Ruby was our first Corgi show dog. Ruby promptly gave us Lori (Am/CA Ch. Caralon Calista Yes I Can) our first home-bred champion, and recent recipient of her ROMX (Register of Merit Excellent) from the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America. Our Commitment Calista is glad to follow the guidelines for ethical conduct set forth by the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America, Inc. We are members of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Garden State, Mayflower Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club, Suffolk Kennel Club and the German Shepherd Dog Club of America. All breeding stock is either OFA or Penn Hip certified, eyes CERF'd clear, and tested for Von Willebrand’s Disease.
